先日CWSAが、初めてのオンラインウェイクサーフィン大会を開催した。45秒のライディング動画を投稿し、その滑りによって競うというもの。優勝賞金はなんと10,000ドル！（日本円で約100万円）このイベントはブロンズレベルの大会と見なされ、参加者には通常のイベントで競技した場合と同様の、ブロンズレベルのポイントが付与される。多数の日本人選手も参加し、存在感を示した。
